Sarah Riley is a visual artist, and she has recently earned a Masters Degree in Art Therapy. She strongly believes in the therapeutic properties of the creative process, and this is evident in her work. She works with a variety of mediums, with an emphasis in expressive portraiture.
Her portraits consist both of faces that she has imagined, and people whom she knows and admires for their giving personalities, artistic endeavors, and overall significance in her life and in this world.
When she creates a portrait of someone, she strives to not only capture a physical likeness, but to also incorporate elements of the subject’s personality and demeanor; it proves to be a unique challenge every time, and she absolutely loves it.
