Birthday Party with Vocalist Dick Smith

musical noteVocalist Dick Smith with provide music for the March birthday party at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 18 at the Kenwood, 825 Summit Avenue, Minneapolis, MN. The concert is free and open to the public.

Smith initially became involved in the Twin Cities music scene as a teenager. He was a vocalist with his own band in the early 1950s while a student at St. Thomas Academy. In the late ’50s he managed and sang at the Black Sheep Club at 10th and Marquette in downtown Minneapolis. Throughout his career in sale she worked in as much singing as possible.

For two years in the early ’70s Smith was hired to perform as part of a professional choir at St. Paul Cathedral. Since then he has been continuing his music career throughout the Twin Cities.

The Kenwood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
